The quality of teaching is very strong and effective, the children are keen and motivated to learn because staff have high expectations of all children. Staff encourage children to be independent and to take responsibility for their learning environment. Children's learning and development are effectively promoted because all staff have an excellent knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and how children learn. All children make very good progress.
Children's behaviour is very good because staff show a consistent approach to behaviour management. Staff sensitively and consistently remind children to take turns and share and are excellent role models for children
There is a robust transition programme and a highly effective key-person system. Children settle very effectively into the nursery because staff spend considerable time with their parents discovering children's individual needs. Staff ensure all children are offered a gradual settling-in process that allows children to become familiar with their new environment.
